Cooling tower at the time of production, tube plate and tube welding generally use SMAW weld shape varying degrees of defects such as dents, holes, slag, etc., weld stress distribution is not uniform. When using a tubular portion of the contact plate and industrial cooling water, industrial cooling water and impurities, salts, gases, microbes will constitute the tube plate and the weld corrosion. Studies have shown that both the fresh water or the industrial water, there will be a variety of ions and dissolved oxygen, which changes the concentration of chloride ions and oxygen, the corrosion of the metal shape plays an important role. In addition, the complex will also affect the extent of corrosion of metal structures form.
For cooling tower corrosion problems, the traditional method to welding based, but easy to make internal tube sheet welding produces stress, difficult to eliminate, could cause a cooling tower tube sheet weld leak again. Western countries now use more methods of polymer composites for protection. It has excellent adhesion properties and temperature resistance, chemical resistance, in a closed environment where it is safe to use and will not shrink, especially good isolation bimetallic corrosion and erosion resistance properties.
