The application of variable frequency motors in cooling towers mainly utilizes variable frequency technology to control the speed of fans in the cooling tower, in order to achieve the goals of energy saving, improving efficiency, and optimizing system performance. By adjusting the operating frequency of the motor, the running speed of the fan can be precisely controlled to match the cooling requirements and reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
However, due to the inconsistency between the high-efficiency operating point of the fan system and the speed given by the frequency converter, the frequency converter motor cannot significantly improve the energy efficiency of the cooling tower in practical use.
For cooling towers equipped with smaller power fans, we do not recommend using frequency conversion energy-saving devices to drive the fans.
